About Abide in Love Kansas City

  • Abide in Love Kansas City is a community of people committed to walking alongside immigrants and families affected by detention and family separation. Through compassionate accompaniment, practical support, and meaningful relationships, we seek to ensure that no one faces these challenges alone.

Rooted in the belief that every person deserves dignity, belonging, and care, we work to connect individuals and families with resources, build supportive community networks, and inspire our neighbors to respond with love in action. Together, we are creating a more welcoming and compassionate Kansas City Metro Area for all.

    • Wraparound relationships with families and individuals affected by ICE detention or displacement

    • Assisting immigrant families with basic needs

    • Partnering with local organizations, faith groups, and volunteers to offer support to our immigrant families

    • Creating belonging and advocacy through acts of love and care

  • We believe that love is more than a feeling—it is a commitment to stand with our neighbors, build relationships across differences, and work toward a community where every person is treated with dignity and respect.
